In Mauricie, things really heat up in the summertime. Hiking, cycling, swimming, boating, there’s always so much to see and do. Of course, if you’re looking for ways to beat the heat, you can always cool down in the lake or at one of our microbreweries.
Fall
Whether you’re hunting or hunting for the perfect pic, fall in Mauricie is the place to be. From mushroom picking to the pancake festival, there are plenty of opportunities and events to savour the season.
Winter
There’s nothing more magical than Mauricie covered in snow. Grab your fat bikes, snowshoes, snowmobile, or cross-country skis and explore the pine scented trails on Vallée du Parc or La Tuque mountains. Want something unique? Try ice fishing with the help of one of more than 50 outfitters in the region who are working to preserve and promote our wilderness spaces.
Spring
Is there anything more enticing than spring and the sweet aromas of fresh maple syrup? It’s the best time to gather the whole family around a big table of local, high-quality treats and delve into the amazing stories of the entrepreneurs behind many of our sugar shacks in the region.

With over 17,500 lakes and rivers spread across the region, water is everywhere — and enjoyed all year round. The Saint-Maurice River, which flows through the heart of Mauricie, is a cherished asset for locals.
